Beard Triathlon - Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Following on from the fun filled and energetic day in June, the final donations have been received and I am pleased to report that we raised a total of £8,310.

The funds are being split equally between the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Chase Hospice.

Liz Anderson and I had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to Wiltshire Air Ambulance at their base in Devizes.  The cheque was accepted by Ross Culligan, a paramedic with the crew.   Ross was also kind enough to provide us with a tour of the facility and the ambulance.  Ross also spoke about the capabilities of the Air Ambulance and the role it plays in helping the people of Wiltshire.

Ross repeatedly thanked us for choosing them to raise money for and asked that we pass on the WAA thanks to all participants, supporters and organisers.

Having seen the ambulance, met the crew and understood further their role I left feeling humbled and pleased that we could help in a small way.

Mark Beard will present Chase Hospice with their cheque at the official opening of the their New Extension in September.
