Chad Murrin ,
Non-Executive Director
Chad has a long corporate career working in finance for 3i (the private equity and venture capital firm). In 1994 Chad managed the very successful flotation of the 3i Group plc on the stock exchange and in 1999 became Corporate Development Director. In 2004 Chad decided to set up his own business and now does a variety of interesting corporate projects on a consultancy basis. He has also built up a portfolio of non-executive roles which he finds very satisfying.
Chad joined Beard in 2007 as Non-Executive Director and brings an independent view to the Board of Directors, acting as a catalyst for raising standards, and being a mentor and sounding board for the Managing Director. He strives to be accepted as part of the management team by contributing ideas and contacts, challenging in a constructive way and helping to improve business performance.
Chad praises his remarkable wife who has put up with him for more than 27 years, and is incredibly proud of his children who have become impressive young adults.
Cricket has been an obsession of Chad’s all his life. And although he jests that he is ‘a tired and broken down all-rounder’ he still turns out for Guildford CC and over the years has managed to take over 2,000 wickets and score 38 centuries! He keeps a watchful eye on Somerset CCC in county cricket.
