Beard staff raise nearly £300 for Children in Need Appeal

Nobody at Beard could guess the baby in the 'Guess the Baby' competition, but they did manage to raise nearly £300 for the Children in Need Appeal.  Donal Bourke, Business Development Manager in Swindon and Colin Robinson, Quantity Surveyor in Oxford both won an extra day's holiday and Harry Ackumey, Chris Randall, Mike Collins , Alex Pobgee, Dean Averies and Ben Glastonbury  all went home with prizes.

This year's BBC Appeal has raised a record amount of over £19m and money is still pouring in.  Children in Need operates all year round not just on appeal night. The charity 'provides support in the form of grants to organisations working with children who may have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities; behavioural or psychological disorders; are living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect'.
