Beard Oxford finalist at prestigious Construction Excellence awards
Beard was a finalist at the London and South East region Construction Excellence awards for customer satisfaction - due to its commitment to a company-wide goal of ensuring ‘Prompt and Faultless Delivery,’ glowing customer feedback and ever more repeat business – making 2011 its best year yet.
John Youle, Construction Director said: “I am delighted Beard was a finalist for this award as we so strongly believe in the concept of “customer service.” For us this means calling the customer every week for 4 weeks after handover and then every 8 weeks for 12 months to ensure they are entirely satisfied with our work. It also means us having to rectify any faults, but that’s more important than having unhappy customers. As we only work within one hour’s distance from any project we are always close to our customers and can ensure this important service is undertaken promptly.”
“Before we start we find out a customer’s key objectives for a successful project, and make sure all the team is aware of these specific requirements. By listening to our customers, we have managed to increase efficiencies in other parts of our business too. These include ensuring all site staff can access ‘real time’ information and the creation and maintenance of a Drawing Register, a database where only the latest versions of drawings are held, to ensure clarify and accuracy.
“By creating a happy culture where employees enjoy working at the company and encouraging personnel to want to deliver their best, it’s no wonder we so often achieve 100% satisfaction,” John Youle concluded.
