When planning our construction activities, the health, safety and welfare of the sometimes frail and elderly occupants, remains our top priority.

It is estimated that the over 65 population will increase by 43% by 2026*. This together with other demographic drivers, such as longer life expectancy and greater affluence among the over 60's, are increasing the demand for residential care homes and accommodation for the elderly.

Beard has delivered many new build and refurbishment projects for both private companies and elderly care charities.  These have included residential care homes, nursing homes and luxury retirement housing.

Beard has also teamed up with Canadian timber frame company DAC International Inc to offer care home customers the opportunity to create eco-friendly and energy efficient buildings that comply with stringent ‘Part L’ building regulations.
