Woking MP opens newly extended Beard Guildford Offices Four years ago, despite the severe downturn, Beard opened an office in Guildford to service the Surrey area. Now, two years after purchasing, restoring and extending an old Stonemasons workshop at Brookwood to form a suite of offices, Beard is celebrating its best financial year yet. 45 guests joined the eleven staff members on Friday 21 September to celebrate the completion of works including the Rt Hon Jonathon Lord, local MP for Woking; John Kingsbury, Leader of Woking borough council and David Watts, President of Guildford Cricket Club. Mark Beard, Managing Director of Beard said: “We are celebrating 120 years of trading. We have recently completed projects for St Mary’s School Ascot, Eton College, Papplewick School, Chase Hospice and the University of Surrey and are now working on further projects for these customers together with a new convent in Romsey, major Church Extension in Redhill and a new offices and apartment redevelopment in Bracknell.” “We believe in working closely with and investing in the community, as evidenced by our sponsorship of Guildford Cricket Club and Chase Hospice and the recruitment of two local trainees to join our prestigious apprenticeship programme,” he concluded.
