Management and Structure

Beard operates a flat management structure and all Directors and senior managers are actively involved in delivering our promises.  Board and senior management meetings are held monthly, where Directors and senior managers are held to account for their area of responsibility.

Concise management accounts are produced within ten working days of each month for Board review, together with a detailed balanced scorecard which gives a snap shot of all aspects of the business / current operations and provides finely honed leading indicators.

The business is led by Managing Director Mark Beard, supported by Finance Director Clive Bassett, and Construction Directors John Youle and Marc Bayley. The Managing Director has overall responsibility for managing the business, marketing and people; The Finance Director is responsible for the Company Secretarial function, company accounting and reporting, together with IT, central services, safety and environmental matters.  The Construction Directors are responsible for customer relations, project planning, project delivery and people development.

Each Director is supported by a team a qualified and highly motivated senior managers, a number of whom attend senior management meetings or lead specific company task groups.
