We always plan, manage and carry out all building activity so that it affects the customer’s day-to-day operations as little as possible
Refurbishment work often has to take place in confined spaces and in close proximity to occupied environments.
To minimise the impact of building works on your day-to-day operations, Beard will plan every stage of your project with the utmost care.
We will carry out frequent and detailed risk assessments to make sure that the site implements all appropriate safety measures and complies with any special regulations relating to the role of your organisation.
A good example of our refurbishment capabilities is our £3.5m transformation of the Corinium Museum, Cirencester, where we carried out major construction works above and around several large 2,000 year-old Roman mosaics. The mosaics could not be moved, so we worked closely with conservation experts to safeguard them from ground water, vibration and falling masonry.
“On behalf of the University I would just like to formally express our thanks to Beards for an exemplary refurbishment of the Vice Chancellor’s suite. Throughout this project we found the entire Beard team to be very professional.”
Mrs LHC Hofen, Facilities and Services Manager, Oxford University Estates Directorate
