Beard dresses up for Santa sleigh pull in aid of Prospect Hospice

Family firm Beard is preparing for a Sleigh Pull around Swindon arranged for Thursday, 16 December.  Santa will be accompanied on the day by 11 strong “reindeer,” who are out and about getting into practice to pull Santa and his sleigh from Greenbridge Retail Park to the west wing of the Great Western Designer Outlet Village.

Accompanying Santa and his sleigh, which was built by our craftsmen, will be five elves holding collection buckets to encourage members of the passing public to donate, who will also be giving out festive treats.  At 5pm at the Outlet Village Santa will be joined by Lawn Primary School who will be carol singing and accompanied by Mike Lee (of Beard)’s band Itchy Feet.

Sarah Roberts of Beard, who is organising the event and will be an elf, said : “The staff at Beard are determined to support Prospect House as they’re such a worthwhile charity, helping families in times of need.  We hope to raise over £1000 for them as we think this Sleigh pull through Swindon has never been seen before.  We chose a “late night” evening so parents can shop and take children to see Santa, while getting into the Christmas spirit by singing carols and giving to charity.”
